My version of a fun weekend 1.

This all begins on the first of November. This month seems like it's going to be awesome. Daystar university annual fun day is on this date. I have never attended one, and it been my last semester, i feel obliged to attend and have my fun. So i do!

I think i should say that i just had a ball. To begin with, the organisation was gooooood and the people were psyked up, although somewhat shy. Anyway, they still attend. In the bus which i travel with, we decide to have some fun. So, me and Lorna Muteti start working on a list of 20 most important things to carry for fun day (I'll list this in another post). We do get support from other people and we indeed have a list at last. Some of the things on the list included, tishue, Lip gloss, Nail polish... among others. Wait for the post.

On the opposite side of the bus, Rudy and his friends have some playing cards and balloons. Balloons are to be inflated and bursted later. That is exactly what happens to them. All in all, i manage to get one yellow balloon and give it to Resian as a funday gift. She discards it- if am not wrong. Aside, Resian is one great Maasai girl. I served with her once in an office, and i loved her sense of order and control. In need of a sister? Get her contacts.

The funday runs on well finally and the people have alot of fun. i personally participate in almost everything apart from that which to me was boring, or disturbing to my spirit. :-) . We however have to leave the fun day abit early, that is, me and Rudy. We are needed in Kangundo. Rudy is to play the drums, and am to speak on Change (This will also be another post). But before leaving the funday part, one thing i loved about the funday was the food. Much thanks to Samuel Kariuki and his team. I ate till i gave away my meat. Halaaaaaa!~

We leave the venue of funday at exactly 3:30pm. I miss seen Resian swim. She is good. We get to town at around 4:00pm, board the van and off to Kangundo. We get there at around 6:30pm and we find the rest of the team at the open air meeting. A Mr. Solomon speaks at the Meeting and five guys (Including ladies) give their life to Christ. Soooo, blablabla and the evening checks in fully, the night as well and finally we sleep. Me and my buddies fail to wake up for morning devotion, but we devote ourselves to a good morning nap. Not a good thing to do. The other guys woke up at 5:30am! See why it's not a good thing to do? After gettiing ready we go to church, take our breakfast, and split into our various ministries.

My time for speaking comes on, i share and the Lord blesses His people. Suprisingly, my family is known like allover. Almost 15 persons come to me after that, get my parents cell number and give her a call. She's offcourse happy. Later...

at the open air meeting that day, my fun is culminated. The moment we start the crusade, i decide to go one on one with the people around. I interact with Pastor Francis of Word of Life Church and we do have a great moment sharing and interacting with his church members and friends. I also interact with another man who makes my day since he has alot to say, but nothing worth to communicate. Finally i interact one on one with around five guys. The one that stto out for me was my interaction with a James and Joseph.

Now. James is a young boy in form one as of now. He goes to church at Redeemed Gospel Church Kangundo and he is a DayScholar at HolySpirit High School (The name does exist). He is shorter than me and lighter in tonnage than me as well. i find him with one of his friends, whome i pray away and my prayer is answered. Instant. So i approach James alone. This is when i get to know all i told you about him. All in all, he is a good liar. not so good cause i found him out. he begins by telling me that he did go to church that day and that he was in the first service. I ask him who broke the word, and he sya the Pastor. Which Pastor? I enquire and he says he knows not the name, but he can pinpoint him from a crowd. I go ahead and ask him to pinpoint the Pastor, and he tells me tha pastor is not there with us yet. This is at the open ground meeting.

This makes me laugh alot. Why? Cause he is talking of the service which  i shared at, and yet he cannot tell it's me. What a liar! I tell him off to himself and offcourse he blushes and we get to connect more. i continue telling him about Him (Christ), and he listens and answers some of my questions. Suddenly, in the middle of our talk, Joseph comoes, says hi, and is almost leaving when i stop him.

I stop him to know him. He tells me his name and am left wondering why he took time to greet us. The reason for my wondering is simple. One, he doesn't know me, and two, he doesn't know James. Then why say hi and with a huge smile and a sense off 'am glad to meet you again?' His reason again is simple, and i get to know it when he explains why he said hi.

Joseph, was listening all along as i and James were conversing. And him being a christian who is born again, was glad to see another christian reaching out to an individual. This ministered to him, and thus he couldn't leave without saying hi and giving me a smile of encouragement.

If that wasn't an awesome weekend, then what is?

All in all we travelled back safely. with alot of fun in the bus and great time with great people. Can't wait to go to Mombasa over Christmas. But i have to. For Christ, my Fins and Mama(She has another child- It's a girl).

About my other Mama later. Thanks for reading. Now you can check other websites. Aaaaait?!
